Workwear reconstructed through the CALÉCHIE lens.

The CALÉCHIE Butterfly Classic × Carhartt Hybrid Boot transforms the language of traditional American utility wear into an exaggerated, sharply feminine stiletto silhouette. Built from rugged utilitarian canvas and contrasting leather, the design brings together the toughness and functionality associated with classic Carhartt workwear and the dramatic proportions of the CALÉCHIE Butterfly Classic.

The boot is constructed primarily in a Carhartt-inspired golden-brown utility canvas, a material language rooted in durable workwear. Carhartt is particularly associated with heavyweight duck and canvas constructions engineered for durability and abrasion resistance.  Here, that utilitarian foundation is deliberately taken out of its traditional context and rebuilt as luxury statement footwear.

A deep chocolate-brown leather upper panel sweeps organically across the upper shaft, creating a curved, almost wing-like shape that references the signature Butterfly Classic construction. The contrast between structured canvas and smooth leather gives the boot a distinctly reconstructed quality—the feeling of a work boot, carpenter garment, and high-fashion stiletto merged into one object.

The front features an extended lace-up construction running nearly the full length of the shaft. Tonal golden-brown workwear laces are threaded through a long series of metal hexagonal eyelets, creating a strong vertical line from the ankle toward the knee. The lacing remains intentionally exposed and slightly elongated at the top, preserving the raw functionality of traditional work footwear while exaggerating it into a major design element.

Throughout the shaft, layered utility-inspired canvas panels mimic the reinforcement and pocket constructions found on carpenter pants and work jackets. Angular overlays, visible topstitching, small metal rivets and reinforced seams create the impression that pieces of a work garment have been engineered directly around the leg. This vocabulary references details historically associated with workwear—reinforced construction, tool pockets, utility features and metal reinforcement at stress points.

At the top, an oversized extended tongue rises above the boot opening and carries subtle CALÉCHIE branding, giving the silhouette an unmistakable house signature. Additional polished gold hardware punctuates the dark leather collar, introducing a jewelry-like finish against the otherwise industrial materials.

The lower boot transitions into an elongated, dramatically pointed toe, creating a deliberate contrast with the rugged upper. Rather than finishing the workwear concept with a conventional utility sole, CALÉCHIE places the construction on an ultra-high, razor-thin black stiletto heel. The extreme heel and steep arch radically alter the attitude of the canvas, turning a material associated with physical labor into something provocative, architectural and unapologetically fashion-driven.
