How It Works

1. Place Your Order
Complete your purchase to begin the custom process.

2. Hide Selection & Custom Details
We will email you to request your hide inspiration and customization preferences (such as silver or gold hardware).
You may reply with a specific hide from our page or inspiration you love.

Because each hide is truly one of one, we cannot duplicate an exact pattern. However, within 5–7 business days of receiving your inspo, we will email you three similar hide options along with your approved customization details for review.

3. Final Approval
You select your preferred hide from the options provided.

4. Production Begins
Once approved, we begin crafting your custom CALÉCHIE bag. Production time is 60-90 days from the date your order is placed.

1. Can I request additional customizations beyond hardware (strap length, interior color, etc.)?
You may include additional requests in your email reply. We will confirm what is available before production begins.
2. Can I combine elements from two different hide inspirations?
You may share multiple inspirations, and we will source the closest possible options based on availability.
3. Can I send in my own hide to be used for my bag?
No. We only use cowhide sourced through our trusted suppliers at this time.
4. Can I cancel my order?
Orders may not be cancelled once production has begun. Please ensure you are confident in your selection before final approval.
5. Are custom bags eligible for return?
No. All custom cowhide bags are final sale.
6. What if I don’t like any of the three hide options sent?
We can discuss one additional sourcing round if necessary, though options are dependent on current hide availability.
7. What if I want a size that is not listed?
Please email us prior to placing your order. We are happy to discuss custom sizing options when available.
8. Will my bag look exactly like my inspiration photo?
Because cowhide patterns are naturally unique, your bag will be similar in tone and pattern distribution but will never be identical. That is the beauty of authentic hide — no two are ever the same.
9. How will I communicate my hide selection?
After your order is placed, we will email you directly. You may reply to that email with your hide preference and any customization details.
